Bernard Schurr Cotes du Rhone Villages (6pk)
More about Bernard Schurr Find a stockist Village: Plan de Dieu Summary: Les Courtilles (a series of small courtyards) is named after the village winery founded in 1997 by Bernard Schurr. Here Bernard had the ambition of crafting small batches of wines with individual character and charm. Les Courtilles Cotes du Rhone is sourced from 35-year-old vines on the right bank of the Rhone between Orange and Avignon Winemaking: The barren plains of the Plan de Dieu (God’s Plain) have a winemaking heritage dating back to the 14th Century. Deep pebble beds result in rich and powerfully flavoured wines. Organically grown fruit is hand harvested before a traditional vinification using small open fermenters and maturation in two three-year old large format oak for nine months. Vintage 2023 : An elegant and approachable vintage that delivered wines with remarkable structure, vibrant energy, and harmonious balance. Tasting Note: A lifted and attractive nose, very modern in style and unforced, with red berry aromas met by spice and dried herbs. Cowpunk Amphora Shiraz (6pk)
Region: Orange
Grape Variety: Shiraz
Winemaker: Aaron Mercer
Alcohol: 14%
Pack Size: 6 Bottle Pack Summary: Cowpunk are small batch wines made from single sites, crafted by Aaron Mercer and grown by long term friends and acquaintances. 100% unashamedly natural, Cowpunk is leading the charge for the modern drinker seeking wines made in a hands-off manner but still want complexity and enjoyment. Made by award winning winemaker Aaron Mercer this dynamic brand is organic, vegan, preservative free and features no additions. Winemaking: Harvesting in the cool of night, the fruit was cold soaked for two days prior to undergoing primary fermentation for another ten days prior to pressing. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in clay amphora and some older puncheon. The shape of the clay amphora keeps the wine in constant movement and the porosity of clay between steel and oak allows gentle oxygen contact, building richness and texture, allowing the ample tannins of the wine to resolve while still showing generous fruit the length of the palate. The wine was held for an additional nine months prior to bottling. There was a small addition of sulphur prior to bottling. Tasting Note: This Shiraz has lifted and generous aromas of blackberry, violets, vanilla bean and all-kinds of spice. The palate is soft and mouth-filling with more dark berry fruits and peppery spices. The tannins are soft and beautifully integrated and due to the higher, cooler growing in Orange, the natural acidity in the wine ensures it finishes long and fresh. A great match with many red meat cuisines.

Fontavera Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie DOC (12pk)
More about Fontavera Find a stockist Region: Veneto Summary: Fontavera wines are crafted by winemaker Andrea Sartori, the great-grandson of the founder of the still family owned Sartori di Verona Winery in 1898; now considered one the most important wineries of the North-East. Andrea has strongly voiced his concerns of the impact of climate change and advocated the need to support the future of organic viticulture combined with higher altitude plantings. The wines of Fontavera are a direct result of his ambition, seeking out older, organically farmed vineyards grown on higher, cooler sites. Winemaking: All hand-picked and hand-sorted before whole bunch pressing to 100% stainless steel for fermentation. After an uneventful ferment to dryness the wine spent a short period on lees to build mouth-feel and flavour complexity before being bottled. Vintage 2021: 2021 Vintage: A vintage which produced high quality fruit and low yields as a result of warm weather and less than average rainfall. The reduced rainfall during the harvest period reulted in less disease pressure and producers were able to pick clean fruit at full ripeness. An exciting vintage for fruit purity and power. Tasting Note: The 2021 Pinot Grigio is an aromatic wine displaying lemons, fresh pear and wet stone. Spending a short time on lees has softened the wine and delivered a layered, textural mouthfeel whilst maintaining the racy acidity we expect of the region. Best consumed in its youth, this wine will partner well with fresh seafood, goats cheese dishes and antipasto. The below information is available for stockists of this product. Summary: Organically grown, no additives, vegan and moderate in alcohol 'Fuzzy Bare' is the new kid on the block- fizzy, fun and ready to drink! Despite being the newest hottest kid on the block, piquette dates to ancient Greek and Roman times. Winemaking: Made using the left over skins that have been pressed off from Slinky Bare and CowPunk wines. Water is added to the press where it is left for 12 hours to interact with the skins. The solution is then pressed to tank and the residual sugar fermented out to dryness Tasting Note: Aromatics of red berries and blood orange. Made from adding water to bare pressed grape skins and left to ferment, this low-alcohol, refreshing, and slightly fizzy drink Was named ‘piquette’ (prickle) and became the standard for vineyard workers at the lunch table. Winemaking: Made using the left over skins that have been pressed off from Slinky Bare and CowPunk wines. Water is added to the press where it is left for 12 hours to interact with the skins. The solution is then pressed to tank and the residual sugar fermented out to dryness Tasting Note: Cherry cola aromatics, Cranberry and Mulberry fruit jump out of the glass. The palate is vibrant with rich raspberries and blackcurrants. There is a slight phenolic chalkiness that provides structure and a tight acidity carries the fruit for a long, crisp finish. A perfect thirst quenching light red that is naturally higher in refreshment and lower in alcohol! The below information is available for stockists of this product. Il Villaggio Nero d'Avola (6pk)
More about Il Villaggio Find a stockist Vineyards: Fulgatore, Elice - Sicily
Soil: Decomposed Granite Elevation: 300-500m Grape Variety: 100% Nero dÁvola Alcohol: 14.0% Winemaker: Andrea Sartori Summary: On the far north-western tip of Sicily and sitting above the ancient city of Erice, are the beautiful vineyards striving to produce wines of expression and typicity. Older, low yielding vines that are farmed organically and painstakingly hand-harvested, here are an expression of love for an ancient way of life in an ancient land. Winemaking: Hand harvested in the cool of the morning, fermented in open top fermenters with plunging by hand and additional time on skins to ensure colour and flavour extraction. Fermented slowly and then transferred into a combination of larger format oak and stainless steel for maturation. The wine was then blended and bottled with minimal fining and filtration. Tasting Note: Brooding and earthy on the nose this is characteristic Nero d’Avola with lifted aromatics and plush fruit intensity. Plum, blackberry and black cherry richness with hints of milk chocolate, brown spices and a savoury complexity that is so typical of the region. The wine has a plushness of berries finishing long and dry with savoury notes and freshness of acidity. The tannins are soft and deliver a clear all-rounder; food friendly wine that would pair magnificently with a home-made lasagne. The below information is available for stockists of this product.
