Bernard Schurr Cotes du Rhone Villages (6pk)

More about Bernard Schurr  Find a stockist

Summary: Les Courtilles (a series of small courtyards) is named after the village winery founded in 1997 by Bernard Schurr. Here Bernard had the ambition of crafting small batches of wines with individual character and charm. Les Courtilles Cotes du Rhone is sourced from 35-year-old vines on the right bank of the Rhone between Orange and Avignon

Winemaking: The barren plains of the Plan de Dieu (God’s Plain) have a winemaking heritage dating back to the 14th Century. Deep pebble beds result in rich and powerfully flavoured wines. Organically grown fruit is hand harvested before a traditional vinification using small open fermenters and maturation in two three-year old large format oak for nine months.

Vintage 2023 : An elegant and approachable vintage that delivered wines with remarkable structure, vibrant energy, and harmonious balance.

Tasting Note: A lifted and attractive nose, very modern in style and unforced, with red berry aromas met by spice and dried herbs. The palate is likewise fruit focused and vibrant with supple black berries, candied fruit and aniseed surrounded by soft savoury spice and fine tannins.

Cowpunk Chardonnay (6pk)

 Find a stockist

Summary: Cowpunk is leading the charge for the modern drinker seeking wines made in a hands-off manner but still want complexity and enjoyment. Cowpunk features wines which are vegan, preservative free, and source the best quality fruit, naturally.

Winemaking: Sourced from an established single vineyard site located just south of the Margaret River township. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, with only free run juice taken for this wine. Pressed straight to second-use oak where it was fermented on full solids. This wine spent three months on yeast lees with intermittent stirring and a further 3 months in a combination of larger oak and steel tank prior to blending.

Vintage 2024: Margaret River had an early, fast-paced harvest with ideal conditions for high-quality Chardonnay. A warm, dry growing season led to lower yields but produced exceptionally concentrated fruit with bright natural acidity. Chardonnay was picked early to preserve freshness and purity, resulting in wines that are vibrant, textural, and finely balanced—a standout year for this flagship white variety.

Tasting Note: vibrant and expressive white, offering lemon citrus, white florals, and pale stone fruit aromas. The palate is bright and finely textured, balancing buttery oak, zesty lemon-lime, and a hint of grapefruit with refreshing acidity

Farm Hand Cabernet Sauvignon (6pk)

More about Farm Hand  Find a stockist

Summary: The Farm Hand wines are grown by the Grigoriou family, fourth generation wine growers, from almost one hundred acres of Organic Vineyards in the Monash Valley of South Australia.

Vineyards: The moderate, dry climate with very low rainfall during autumn and fertile soils is perfect suited to Organic Viticulture. The well established vines (up to thirty years of age) are planted widely apart for airflow to minimise disease pressure and minimal drip irrigation  ensures low yielding fruit with rich flavours and varietal expressiveness

Winemaking: Fully de-stemmed before fermentation in a mix of open and closed tanks. The wine was primarily vinified without the influence of oak for maximum fruit expression before blending with a component aged in three and four year old French oak.

2024 Vintage: A cooler than average growing season, frost, the lack of rain and poor weather during flowering including strong winds throughout November and December resulted in lower yields however, the dry and consistent weather during picking resulted in a vintage of high-quality fruit.

Tasting Note: A fresh and vibrant organic cabernet bursting with black fruits, a slight herbal edge and notes of dark chocolate. The palate is medium bodied with blackcurrant, blackberry and olive flavours matched by subtle notes of tobacco. The wine is vibrant with dark purple fruit and soft tannins which provide a long finish.

The well established vines (up to thirty years of age) are planted widely apart for airflow to minimise disease pressure and minimal drip irrigation ensures low yielding fruit with rich flavours and varietal expressiveness

Winemaking: Fruit is harvested during the early morning hours to retain freshness and partially whole bunch pressed. A fast and precise vinification in stainless steel with minimal oxygen contact maximises fruit expression and aromatics. A cool fermentation (15 to 18 degrees) is undertaken in stainless steel tanks before maturation on lees for four months.

2024 Vintage: A cooler than average growing season, frost, the lack of rain and poor weather during flowering including strong winds throughout November and December resulted in lower yields however, the dry and consistent weather during picking resulted in a vintage of high-quality fruit.

Tasting Note: Distinct fruit-driven aromas of citrus and nectarine with subtle creamy notes. The palate displays stone-fruit and citrus fruit flavours of great purity leading to a pleasingly round mouthfeel. Incredibly refreshing and will pair nicely with heavier styled white sauce pasta.

Il Villaggio Nero d'Avola (6pk)

More about Il Villaggio  Find a stockist

Summary: On the far north-western tip of Sicily and sitting above the ancient city of Erice, are the beautiful vineyards striving to produce wines of expression and typicity. Older, low yielding vines that are farmed organically and painstakingly hand-harvested, here are an expression of love for an ancient way of life in an ancient land.

Winemaking: Hand harvested in the cool of the morning, fermented in open top fermenters with plunging by hand and additional time on skins to ensure colour and flavour extraction. Fermented slowly and then transferred into a combination of larger format oak and stainless steel for maturation. The wine was then blended and bottled with minimal fining and filtration.

Tasting Note: Brooding and earthy on the nose this is characteristic Nero d’Avola with lifted aromatics and plush fruit intensity. Plum, blackberry and black cherry richness with hints of milk chocolate, brown spices and a savoury complexity that is so typical of the region. The wine has a plushness of berries finishing long and dry with savoury notes and freshness of acidity. The tannins are soft and deliver a clear all-rounder; food friendly wine that would pair magnificently with a home-made lasagne.
